Seal Coating at Camp Boggy Creek

Posted on February 10, 2022July 15, 2022 by Joe Del Rocco

Today I did some maintenance at Camp Boggy Creek, seal coating the lakeside fire pit benches and stage with a regular volunteer and my dad.

Camp Boggy Creek is a 230 acre non-profit camp and preserve dedicated to terminally ill children and their families. It was started and primarily funded by Paul Newman and General Schwarzkopf in 1996. Many additional private and public sponsors have contributed since then, and many volunteers have pitched in to keep the camp running as smooth as possible. The camp is spacious, peaceful and therapeutic for families dealing with the hardest challenges in life. The camp offers beautiful cabins, pool, basketball course, horse and pony range, cafeteria, fire pit, etc. and even has its own medical facilities staffed with volunteer doctors and nurses to help the children and their families if needed.
