Service Door @ Give Kids The World

Posted on November 2, 2023May 2, 2024 by Joe Del Rocco

Today I helped some Disney veterans put in a service door for the maintenance crew over at Give Kids The World. As usual with these types of jobs, Travis Blew did most of the work while the rest of us tried our best to help him out lol. But it’s always nice to get your hands dirty for such a great organization as GKTW! Thank you to Jim Mattfield for setting up another job.

“Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world who want to visit Central Florida. Since 1986, Give Kids The World Village has welcomed more than 193,000 families from all 50 states and 77 countries. The Village is made possible by the support of generous donors and community partners, as well as thousands of passionate volunteers – who donate their time and talent making wishes come true. Learn about volunteer opportunities.”

On an average day, there could be as many as 100 volunteers coming and going to help with everything from acting to food service to maintenance to line queueing. If interested in helping their cause, start here.
