Seal Coating @ Camp Boggy Creek

Posted on February 14, 2024May 2, 2024 by Joe Del Rocco

Jim Mattield and I just finished seal coating the new Turtle Trail Boardwalk at Camp Boggy Creek. We all want this beautiful wooden walkway to survive that Florida sun and humidity, so it’s important to protect it. That dark, rich color will lighten a bit as it dries, but still look nice and finished. We had to use a blower from time to time to keep the leaves and pine needles off it while working lol. This trail is not only serene, it provides a safe and sturdy path through the forest from housing to the main hall and cafeteria. Thank you, John Hamlin, for funding it. Thank you to the volunteers who built it. Thank you to Greg Coleman and PPG for donating the sealer that we use. And thank you, Jim, for coordinating so many volunteer efforts!

It’s Valentine’s Day… this is how much I love you, Camp Boggy Creek!
