Math Night w/ OMC @ Englewood Elementary

Posted on March 7, 2024May 2, 2024 by Joe Del Rocco

Volunteered w/ Orlando Math Circle again to bring Math Night to Englewood Elementary. It was refreshing to see so many students and their parents interested in math puzzles and games. I manned a table with some magic square puzzles (similar to the magic triangles I 3D printed for my students).

Here is an article and video feature from Spectrum News 13!

Praise to Margarita Azbel for her dedication to math literacy and for cofounding and running Orlando Math Circle for so long! She and her son (and so many volunteers) have inspired so many people, both young and adult, by making mathematics fun and interesting. Her organization brings deep, long-term benefits to our community.

My son had his very own table this time, showing kids and adults how to solve Rubik’s Cubes 🙂
